Vision
The chapters about vision and light were very interesting. The author explains how when light hits a car, our eyes see the reflection of the light of the object you are looking at. Therefore a red car is anything and everything but red. Light has major influences on our health and mood. Light also determines our sleep cycles and circadian rhythms. Light therapy can also be used to cure types of cancer and schizophrenia. Light and color are not physical, making them a very interesting subjective experience to further enhance our consciousness. Color can have impacts on our mood, change our heart rate, and can even have biological and evolutionary advantages.
After taking many religion courses and learning about many religions and the idea of consciousness in general, I have spent a lot of time thinking about and researching observation, the illusion of light, and consciousness. For instance, from a scientific standpoint, all matter is broken down into atoms, which can be broken down into subatomic particles, like electrons. At this level, these quarks are traveling so fast, almost at the speed of light. Electrons are traveling in wave-like patterns, very similar to light photons. This rapid wave-like movement causes the electron to literally have an infinite amount of possible locations. But, as you will see in the video, electrons do not take up a specific location until they are consciously observed by “the observer.” Therefore, at the subatomic level, our consciousness and observation has an effect on the precise destination of an electron. So does this mean that our observations can impact what happens next?
The light metaphor is used constantly in the bible. Could the light also be a metaphor for consciousness, and if so, could light have to do with what we are observing in the world and how we perceive it. Could light be an illusion from God (pure consciousness) that provides us, as humans, with a reality in our dimension to individually explore different, simplified, perspectives of consciousness? If individually, and collectively, as conscious beings we give off good energy, make good decisions, and have good intentions, could we collectively co-create the universe with our consciousness and observation?
If you think that by using or rather giving off good energy, making good decisions and having good intentions we could collectively co-create the universe with our consciousness and observation, what do you think is a possible outcome of giving off negative energy, making bad decisions, and having bad intentions? Is this negative energy more or less powerful than this positive energy?
