Seeing
Obviously, sight is a very important sense that allows us to observe our world, it gives us a good chunk of information of what’s going on around us. Leading off this the book talks a lot about sight and its relationship to Gods and idols, and how sight plays a huge role in our worship to higher beings. Across most religions the idea of being able “See” God is always a main point in religion. As most people know though you can't actually see God as he is not a physical being. So ways religions see God can be from making painting or sculptures. These are used in worship in order to draw closer to the God or power they are worshiping. Other way the idea of seeing God is used in the religious sense is by taking the idea of seeing God and turning it into how can we be like God, how can we follow God or follow in what they want us to do. One thing when I grew up i noticed being catholic was when ever I was in churches was the use of imagery like glass stain windows or things on walls....
